County Derry is in the northern province of Ulster and is part of Northern Ireland.
Derry is the major city, other towns include: Coleraine, Limavady and Portstewart
To the east and west of the county lie the valleys of the Bann and Foyle rivers.
The county also borders the shore of Lough Neagh, which is the largest lake in Ireland, and boasts steep cliffs, and wonderful beaches of the Atlantic coast.
Tthe well-preserved 17th-century city walls of Derry is a famous feature.
